STEEL CONSTRUCTION

What Is Heavy Steel?

It is the system used in the construction of buildings of greater volumes demanding high strength (such as hospitals, shopping malls, multi-storey schools, skyscrapers, multi-storey car parks etc.), produced from hot mill profiles available in the market. The steel profiles and agreed installation system of a given building is connected to the foundation with anchor equipments on site. Upon completion of the structure, light steel profiles that will establish the base for side surfaces and the roof of the building are mounted according to the installation details of the lining material to be used.

What is Light Steel?

Light steel system employs cold processed steel profiles. It is produced by cold-forming hot dip galvanized sheet iron. The thickness of the sheet iron varies between 0,5mm adn 2,5mm regarding static calculations. The load bearing capacity of the profiles are in direct proportion with their sections. The walls are reinforced from outside with tie members. Steel equipments are used at junctions. All these junctions are joined with self tapping screws of specific diameter and dimensions.
OSB plates that both serve as interior and exterior lining material and system insulation completes the system by tying structural members such as walls, flooring and roof system. Thus, the structure works as all load bearing frames.
The system can be rapidly established with modern equipments and qualified labour.
